How does one go about getting a designer handbag appraised? I want to know how much it would sell for?

I inherited a Bottega Veneta bag, but that’s it–just the bag…no certificate of authenticity or anything. I went to a Bottega Veneta store and was appalled at how they snotty and pretentious they sounded as they told me, “I’m not authorized to look at your bag. I can’t tell you anything about it.” I don’t know what to do! Where can you get a designer handbag appraised?
