Have you ever rented a designer handbag?

I have an event to go to and would really like to carry a nice, expensive designer handbag. The thing is, I dont want to shell out the big bucks for the bag so I was thinking of renting/hiring one . Has anyone ever rented a handbag? What was your experience like? Was it a waste of money?

      The place went to was non smoker and the place went back in perfect condition but the cost of having the place went back in perfect condition but the hire charge dont do.
