      My cousin purchased some in NY and hers looked authentic. When you buy from chinatown you are getting one of two things either a knockoff or a second. A second is authentic, but has some sort of small defect (usually unnoticable). The knockoffs are usually the higher priced purses like Louis Vuitton and the seconds are usually Prada or Dooney & Bourke. My cousins friend bought from the same place and her purse was a piece of crap that fell apart, but she bought the knockoff and not the seconds.
